2025 was the year the Rumpnisse family moved in

Kaj Grönberg made Rumpnissarna based on sketches by Per Åhlin and on the initiative of Tage Danielsson himself. The year was 1984 and Olle Hellbom was to direct the new film about the saga of Ronja Rövardotter. Unfortunately, Olle Hellbom passed away and then Astrid Lindgren appointed the very experienced Tage Danielsson as director for Ronja Rövardotter. The film with actors Börje Ahlstedt, Per Oskarsson, Lena Nyman, Tommy Körberg and the fantastic children Hanna Zetterberg and Dan Håfström became a box office success and was seen by almost 2 million people in cinemas, which is still one of the biggest box office successes in Swedish film history. In 2025, the Filmbyn board wanted to create a new environment and after thorough preparatory work, "When the Rumpnisses meet Ronja" was chosen. The environment was inaugurated on May 1 by Kaj Grönberg, who created a new Rumpnisse family, and Ursula Haegerström, who was marketing manager at the Swedish Film Industry in 1984.

Throughout the season, all encounters with the Rumpnissarna have amused and amazed our visitors from near and far.

We would like to thank everyone who contributed to our new beautiful part next to Ronja Castle and to the seamstresses who created clothes to borrow so that you can have authentic and lively meetings.

BIG THANKS to

Kaj Grönberg who made a new Rumpnisse family and Kattis Grönberg who sewed Ronja's winter hat, Thomas Karlsson at T-line design who designed and built the environment, Julia Karlsson who made the Rumpnisse sound clip "Voffor", Ann-Britt Wetterlund Fransson and Kirana Slättner who sewed Ronja, Birk and Robber costumes, Freddie Karlsson who designed the vepa with snowy forest, Sparbanken ALFA who sponsored with 40,000 kronor.
