We have won the Tourism Award of the Year 2024 in Jönköping County and we are so incredibly happy and proud of the win. The motivation was:
Through innovative collaboration around the history of the place, they have not only created an innovative travel opportunity but also strengthened the entire tourism industry. The winner has shown an impressive commitment to sustainability in all its areas of operation with a strong focus on language, accessibility and an inclusive environment. The winner also acts as an important player for growth and development in the tourism industry through its involvement in corporate work at both local and regional levels. The destination attracts long-distance visitors every year who want to take part in the lovely stories that live on from generation to generation. Big congratulations to Filmbyn Småland!
It is Smålands Turism that annually awards the prize and the win means that we represent Småland in the national final of the Stora Turismpriset in December. Of course, we share the honor and the prize with all employees, visitors and everyone who has contributed to the success of Filmbyn Småland over the years. Our greatest gratitude goes of course to dear Astrid Lindgren who gave us such wonderful stories and films for us to manage.
Filmbyn has a new website. Some pages are still under construction - please let us know if something is not working.
