Autumn at Filmbyn Småland in Mariannelund

Filmbyn is open 11am-16pm every day between September 1 and 21. The restaurant is open Wed-Sun 12pm-14pm. The café and shop are always open when Filmbyn is open.

Book on October 9th for a members' evening with the Filmbyn non-profit organization. They are inviting Kenneth Roth from Vimmerby who in 1986 worked for a whole year helping with the filming of the films about the Children of Noisy Village. Lasse Hallström directed and turned 40 and was celebrated with a nice summer party at the farm in Pelarne where he lived during filming. Everyone else lived at Fredensborg Manor during filming. Kenneth has an incredible amount to tell and has also arranged for Filmbyn to buy the sled and the two kicks that were used in the film and which have been untouched since then in a barn in Pelarne.

On November 9th, Father's Day, we celebrate Kalaset in Upplevelseskogen. Emilkraften coordinates and this is the fourth year that this craft market has been organized with lots of different activities and participants. Local authors exhibit and sell their books, Eksjö municipality's UF companies sell their products and services, the Emil o Ida prize is awarded and more on this day. Filmbyn Småland offers a warming autumn soup in the restaurant and for a measly 26 SEK you can visit the exhibition. Emilkraften has been in existence for 26 years, which we celebrate with a reduced price on this day for local residents.
