We at Filmbyn Småland are so grateful for another record year, the fifth in a row. We haven't summed up the year yet because we have two days open in between, but we are expecting a visitor count of 22,000, which is an increase of about 1000 people. BUT most importantly for us is that the restaurant attracts more and more local visitors who come to us for a lunch and a lovely hangout next to the Upplevelseskogen.
Our chef Alva Svensson and our mentor chef Kjell Karlsson have really taken our local food to new heights with the Meatball Menu as our signature dish. Kjell made a new, completely magical recipe for our meatballs where the secret is allspice etc. We are now part of the Food Land of Småland The Småland Forest | Visit Småland
We have had many memorable meetings in 2025 and one of the highlights was HUNKY DORY's evening at Filmbyn at the end of July. Around 350 people came to a fabulous summer evening with an unforgettable performance by Mariannelund's biggest local band. Talk about delivery! We also remember our music quiz nights and Ramona and Felizia's acrobatics and music with pleasure.
Now we are gearing up for 2026, rebuilding and maintaining the technology in our fine exhibition and making minor improvements to our environments. In 2027, we will build a completely new environment if our exciting plans go ahead.
